Parish Staff
Reverend Fr. Jeffrey Francis Thoms, Pastor

Reverend Fr. Jeffrey Francis Thoms:

Hi, I’m Reverend Father Thoms, and I was born in West Long Branch, NJ. I grew up on a small farm in Chambersburg, PA. Then went to college in Philadelphia (Wynnewood), PA at Saint Charles Borromeo seminary, graduating with a BA in Philosophy and a minor in Classical Languages (emphasis in Latin).

I continued seminary in Columbus (Worthington), OH at the Pontifical College Josephinum, graduating with a Masters in Theology and a Master of Divinity, and was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on October 7, 2000 at Saint Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg, PA. After 13 years of parish ministry in the Diocese of Harrisburg, PA I left to marry Dawn.

Although having continued in various lay ministries since leaving the Harrisburg Diocese and now a full time chaplain at a local hospital, I felt called back to full priestly ministry.

I have now resumed my apostolic vocation as a priest of the National Catholic Church of America (NCCA) and am forming a local parish.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish Formation:

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, NCCA, is currently in formation.
My intention for this local parish is to have:
  • a Spanish Mass at 5 p.m. on Saturdays,
  • Mass at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings,
  • two mornings a week when I would be in office, and
  • Bible studies at an agreed upon date, time, and location.
We will offer the full complement of services/sacraments from the cradle to the grave, that is:
  • baptisms,
  • la bendición de tres años,
  • First Communions,
  • Confirmations,
  • la quinceañera,
  • weddings,
  • Confession,
  • anointing of the sick,
  • house calls for shut-ins to receive Communion,
  • funerals, etc.
