Official Announcements of
The National Catholic Church of America (NCCA)

From time to time, official announcements by the Office of The Primate will appear here regarding the establishment or discontinuation of parishes and other ministries of the Church, as well as any changes in the canonical status of clergy and religious of the Church.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, Deacon Dennis Malloy of Bakersfield, California was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in the National Catholic Church of America by Archbishop Richard G. Roy, OSJD, Primate of the NCCA, in the Priory Chapel of Saint Aelred of Riveaulx in Northville, New York. The Prior, Brother Stephen K. Peterson, OSJD, served as Master of Ceremonies.

Father Malloy has returned to Bakersfield as Pastor of the Mission of Saint Juana Inez de le Cruz, a seventeenth century Hieronymite nun from colonial Mexico who was a writer, philosopher and poet of the Baroque period. She is presently considered one of the most important female authors in the Spanish language and Mexico's literary history.

Father Malloy will also serve our Primate as Vocations Director for the western NCCA. Please pray for Father Malloy and for God's blessing upon his ministry and life.
